Introduction
The African Wild Dog. Lycaon pictus, highly endangered and the most efficient of all large predators inhabiting the African Bush. These highly sociable animals have the highest hunt to kill ratio of all large predators in Africa. "Dalerwa" is the Venda name for this formidable hunter, that roams the plains of Africa. (The Venda is one of the indigenous tribes of South Africa.)

Dalerwa Ventures for Wildlife cc is a company that strives to promote the importance of conservation and the sustainable utilization of our natural resources. We support fair-chase, ethical hunting, sustaining good resource management.

Hunting is one of the "tools" to control animal populations in areas where their natural enemies are wiped out to a larger extent. Hunting also generates funds to put back into conservation areas as well as other conservation projects.

We are situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, close to the town Hoedspruit, well known for it's wildlife. We are within easy reach of modern facilities such as airports, shopping centers and medical care.

The climate is regarded as subtropical. Winter temperatures, May to August, vary between 41°F in the morning to 77°F during the day. Summer temperatures, September to April, can vary between 59°F in the mornings and 104°F during the day.

Vegetation is mostly Savannah Bushveld that is dominated by large trees with some smaller shrubs and grasses.

The animal life in the area is exceptional. It is home to a rich diversity of animal and bird species, including the Big Five: Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard.
